This Privacy Policy describes how FSSAI Documents Generator (fssaidocs.in) (the "Service"), owned and operated by Digital Sapience Private Limited ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and handles your information when you use our web application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide and improve our Service. The types of information we collect are:
User Account and Profile Information:
- When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password.
- If you choose to sign in with Google, we collect the basic profile information you authorize, which includes your email address and name.
- You may voluntarily provide and we will store your full name and phone number in your user profile.
Document and Business Information:
To generate your documents, you must provide specific information which may include, but is not limited to:
- Business Details: Company/Business name, full address, and type (e.g., Proprietorship, Partnership).
- Personal and Nominee Details: Names of proprietors, partners, directors, or members; father's names; nominee names and their relationship to the proprietor.
- Contact and Address Information: Phone numbers and full addresses for proprietors, partners, directors, and authorized signatories.
- Government-Issued Identification: Document types (e.g., PAN, Aadhaar, Voter ID) and the corresponding document numbers.
- Business Operations Data: Nature of your business, food categories you deal with, application type, and e-commerce URLs.
- Vehicle and Equipment Data: Vehicle registration numbers and lists of equipment/machinery, if applicable to your business type.
Transaction and Purchase History:
- Transaction History: We maintain a log of your credit usage, which includes the transaction ID, the number of credits deducted, the date of the transaction, and a description (which may include the business name for which documents were generated).
- Purchase History: When you buy credits, we store a record of the purchase, which includes the date, transaction ID, package name, amount paid, and a link to your invoice.
Image Data:
You have the option to upload a combined stamp and signature image. This image is used solely for imprinting it onto the documents you generate.
2. How We Use Your Information
The information you provide is used for the following purposes:
- To Provide the Service: The primary use of your business, personal, and image data is to programmatically generate the FSSAI compliance documents (e.g., General Declaration, Form IX, FSMS Plan, etc.) that you request.
- Account Management: Your email address and profile information are used to create and secure your account, allow you to log in, manage your profile, and view your order history.
- Service Functionality: We use your user ID to manage your credit balance and transaction history for document generation.
- Communication: We may use your email address to send important notices about your account, purchases, or the Service.
3. Data Storage and Security
We take the security of your data seriously.
- Account and Profile Information: Your user account information (email, hashed password), profile data (full name, phone number), credit balance, transaction history, and purchase history are securely stored and managed by our backend service provider, Supabase.
- Document Information: The detailed business and personal information you enter into the forms is used ephemerally within your browser to create the PDF documents. With the exception of the business name being logged in your transaction history, this sensitive data is not stored in our database. It is processed on-the-fly and discarded once you end your session.
- Uploaded Images: The optional stamp and signature image is also processed within your browser to be included in the documents and is not saved on our servers.
- Security Practices: We rely on the industry-standard security measures implemented by our backend provider (Supabase) to protect your data. All data transmission between your browser and our Service is encrypted.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- With Service Providers: We share necessary data with Supabase, which provides our authentication, database, and backend infrastructure. You can review their privacy policy for more information on how they handle data.
- With Your Consent: If you choose to log in using Google, you are authorizing Google to share information with our Service according to their privacy policy.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
5. Your Rights and Choices
You have control over your information:
- Access and Update: You can log in to your account at any time to access and update your profile information, such as your full name and phone number.
- Account Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and associated information (email, profile, credit balance, transaction history) by contacting us over email.
- Form Data: You can choose not to provide sensitive information by not using the Service. You can restart the form or close the browser tab at any time to discard the information you have entered in that session.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
